You’ll learn neurobiology, treatment modalities and intervention techniques to help support clients with mental health challenges with recovery, rehabilitation and goal setting.
This program is open to those currently certified as Health Care Assistants, Educational Assistants or Community Support Workers.
If you are an international applicant, you can be part of a special two-year international cohort where you can earn two certificates: a Health Care Assistance Certificate (eight months) and a Community Mental Health Worker Certificate (eight months). Please apply to the Health Care Assistant Certificate at the Comox Valley campus for Fall 2024 term.
