Frequently asked questions

University-level courses are available across a wide range of subjects. Check out the program finder to browse courses in our academic calendar.

Current students are strongly encouraged to talk to an educational advisor to plan their journey.

You can also map out your transfer options by consulting the BC Transfer Guide – an in-depth resource that allows you to search transfer options across BC, including course-to-course options, block transfers of credentials and degree partnerships between NIC and other institutions.

Yes, if a course you complete meets the requirements of another NIC program, you can use it as credit if you choose to enroll in that program.

No, this program is designed for students planning to transfer to another institution to complete bachelor's degrees that we don't offer. If you're interested in earning a certificate or diploma, consider applying for an Associate of Arts or Science degree.

No problem! If you want to take one course you would still register the same way as you would for University Studies. You'll need to apply through EducationPlannerBC.

We are with you on your journey! NIC offers high school upgrading for prerequisites, and assessments in math and English which can be taken in lieu of a transcript. Reach out to an educational advisor to go through the options you need to get you on the right path.
