Tansi. I am honored to be a guest on the traditional territories of the Wei-Wai-Kai and Wei-Wai-Kum First Nations. As a Metis grandmother and an Indigenous instructor at North Island College, I am fortunate to interweave Indigenous approaches with academic writing, research, and critical thinking. I strive to create a classroom community that respects diverse learning styles and remains always a safe space to make mistakes as we investigate and write about contemporary Indigenous issues. I look forward to inspiring you to explore and discover while preparing you with the critical thinking, research, and writing skills required for post-secondary study and the world beyond.
