Subjects: Health Care Assistant

Kyllie has been teaching in the health care assistant program at North Island College since September 2019. Before joining the North Island College team, Kyllie was actively working as an LPN since 2015 and has a background in acute care, long-term care and hospice care. As a full-time nurse, Kyllie had many opportunities to work with preceptor students, which allowed her to transition into the instructor role with ease.

As an instructor of the Health Care Assistant program, Kyllie works with students to introduce them to the health care field in the role of HCA. She brings her past and present experiences in the field of nursing to the classroom to provide a rich and practical learning environment for the students.
