B.Sc. Environmental Geosceince (Simon Fraser University, 2012)

Subjects: Coastal Forest Technology

As a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.), my career has focused on terrain and landslide risk analysis and hazard mitigation, sediment delivery analysis, resource road design, and Karst Field Assessments for clients within the forestry sector on Vancouver Island and throughout B.C.

I hold a B.Sc. in Environmental Geosciences from Simon Fraser University with additional coursework completed at Vancouver Island University.  I have a strong academic background in Geomorphology, in particular within glaciated terrain. In addition, my perpetual yearning for knowledge has led me to recently pursue a diploma in ecosystem science/ecological restoration.

I have been an academic tutor for over ten years in subjects such as Physical Geography and Geosciences. For me, teaching is a natural progression from my professional experiences and my passion for being a student. Personally, I am an avid outdoors person and love just about any hobby I can possibly learn.

I look forward to meeting you and learning with you this semester!
