Journeyman Electrician, Alberta
Red Seal Electrician (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, 2007)
Master Electrician (Lethbridge College, 2009)
My name is David Apperson and I have been an electrician for the last nineteen years, working and studying in Alberta. I began my teaching career at Lethbridge College in Lethbridge, Alberta, taking over the Master Electrician preparatory course on a part-time basis after the previous instructor retired. It was then that I discovered how much I enjoyed teaching electrical apprentices and followed my passion to a full-time job at Grande Prarie Regional College. While there I was able to instruct both the first and second-level electrical apprenticeship courses. I was then able to use that experience to help me realize my dream of working as an instructor on Vancouver Island here at North Island College.
