MBA, (University of Saskatchewan)
Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), (University of Saskatchewan)
Although my training has been in business, much of my career has been spent in senior public sector roles. I have always been interested in the process of government and how business concepts can be used to encourage public sector excellence. My job titles have ranged from senior organizational analyst, to Executive Director to Assistant Deputy Minister. In these roles, I have gained experience in policy development, program design, strategic planning and budgeting, issue management, intergovernmental negotiations on governance and financial arrangements, labour relations negotiations among other things. I have also taught management, marketing, leadership, human resource management and organizational behaviour at four universities. As well, I carry out management consulting and leadership training and coaching from time to time.
