Bachelor of Administrative Studies (Open University, 1996)
I started my instructional career at Selkirk College in 1999 and joined NIC in 2009. I have taught a number of courses in the Office Administration Program at both colleges, as well as courses in the Hospitality and Tourism Department at Selkirk. As a post-secondary instructor, my teaching philosophy revolves around encouraging students to be accountable for their own learning. I believe that the journey of education is not just about acquiring knowledge, but also about personal and professional growth, developing critical thinking skills, embracing responsibility, and gaining confidence and a sense of accomplishment. I aim to create an environment where students feel empowered to take charge of their learning, set goals, and work towards achieving them.
