Master of Fine Arts, Visual Arts, (York University, 2005)
Art school offers a dynamic setting for exchange and inspiration. It is a fertile ground where artists can explore and experiment with materials and develop a voice in visual culture. NIC School of Fine Art and Design offers an energetic creative space where I learn from the students each day.
I am an educator and artist. My research and art practice is a creative inquiry of internal landscapes of the body, the intimacies of breath and respiration and cultural structures of searching and longing. Ideas, concepts and research serve as the catalyst for my work. My studio practice is interdisciplinary and incorporates print media, sculpture, video, installation and drawing. I hold a Master of Fine Arts from York University, an Honours BA Degree, Specialist in Art & Art History and Minor in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Toronto and a Studio Diploma from Sheridan College. I have taught studio and academic courses at York University, Emily Carr University and North Island College.
