The Campbell River Mirror ran a story about the event, hosted by North Island MLA Michele Babchuk. The story ran online throughout Black Press, including the North Island Gazette, Comox Valley Record, Cowichan Valley Citizen and Parksville-Qualicum BeachNews.
The media release also ran on radio. On Aug. 14, NIC’s Naomi Tabata was interviewed about the project on CBC Radio’s On the Island. The initial announcement was also picked up by the Eagle, the Raven and My Campbell River Now/99.7 The River, along with its affiliates.
