This is also a chance to reflect on your own culture and customs, and the Indigenous ways of knowing that have guided life and education on Nuu-chah-nulth, Kwakwaka'wakw and Coast Salish territories since time immemorial.

Port Alberni

Monday, November 18

Indigenous Language & Culture Session 

Local Indigenous Elders will lead a language lesson and cultural sharing geared towards ECCE international students. All NIC students, faculty and staff welcome to join. Free snacks and drinks provided.
When: 12 – 1 pm
Location: Port Alberni Roger Street campus – Cafeteria

Campbell River

Tuesday, November 19

International Gallery Walk

Learn about different countries and local Indigenous customs as you walk around the Student Commons to view displays and meet students and NIC staff from different cultural backgrounds.
When: 12 – 1:30 pm
Location: Campbell River campus – Student Commons 

Thursday, November 21

Indigenous Language & Culture Session

Tasty food must be one of the absolute highlights of experiencing different countries and cultures! Drop by the cafeteria to sample special menu items from around the world. 
When: 12 – 1 pm
