The follow-up to Gore’s wildly popular An Inconvenient Truth makes a compelling case for why climate change is the fundamental political, economic and moral issue facing mankind in the 21st Century. Join Gore as he travels the world arguing that, while the stakes have never been higher, the solutions to the climate change crisis are still within reach.
The presentation will feature an introduction and post-film discussion led by the Comox Valley’s own Will Cole Hamilton, one of 35 Canadians who trained under Al Gore last summer and are committed to implementing climate change solutions.
Admission is by donation to NIC's Global Learning Initiative, a student-driven project which fosters awareness of global issues through partnerships with local communities and individuals. Fair trade coffee and chocolate will be available for purchase before and after the film, with proceeds helping fund NIC nursing students conducting field studies.
The film starts at 6:30 pm at NIC’s Stan Hagen Theatre at the Comox Valley campus, with the doors opening at 6 pm.
