The one-night event runs from 7 to 10 pm at NIC’s Raven Hall and Shadbolt Studios at the Comox Valley campus. Admission is free and everyone is invited; all ages are welcome.
It showcases a diverse range of art works created by students enrolled in the School of Fine Arts and Design courses and fine arts, graphic design and interactive media programs.
NIC’s School of Fine Arts and Design boasts high-end equipment and facilities designed with students in mind. It includes separate sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, photography, video and installation studios. The NIC Mac Labs offer access to sophisticated software for students to develop interactive technologies, graphic design and web design skills.
Art Event is an opportunity to celebrate students’ creative works and achievements with the community. The evening includes live entertainment and refreshments, as well as an opportunity to meet the artists and to purchase their work.
