 NIC Graduation Ceremonies

We are so excited that Graduation ceremonies are in person this year! On behalf of the Student Life team, congratulations graduates! It’s time to celebrate. We recognize your dedication and hard work and look forward to hearing your news as you take the next steps in your lives. Please do keep in touch.

National Indigenous People’s Day is Tuesday, June 21

Pride Month

NIC’s new GSRA club is partnering with NISU to present Proud Prom!  This is an inclusive event to celebrate pride. Check out our NIC Student Life Facebook or Instagram pages for details.

Peer Mentor Volunteers Needed

The Office of Global Engagement is looking for NIC students to help welcome our new international students to the NIC community. To find out more contact, nadine.biggs@nic.bc.ca.

Contact NIC’s Early Assist for personal or academic campus and community supports. 

• Support services include: emergency financial aid, indigenous supports, counselling, accommodation for disability and much more.

NIC’s Library and Learning Commons has free Academic Support (see links below)

• The LLC provides a quiet place to work, look up resources or take a break. You can borrow a laptop, book a room, and even print and scan documents.

Bittersweet farewell to Disha

• Disha Salhan, after many years at NIC, is following her heart and transitioning into a new career. We wish Disha well in her new position and thank her for all that she has done for the students at NIC. As Disha will still be in the Comox Valley, we will see her around.
