An exploration of painters of the Flemish renaissance including the fascinating works of Jan van Eyck, Rogier van der Weyden, Hans Memling, Hugo van der Goes, and Hieronymus Bosch. The course deals with the innovative approaches of the place and time: the use of oils, glowing colours, decorative detail, portrayal of emotion, and fantasy representation.
