Explore the scripts of four Canadian women playwrights who have set their scripts on the west coast. Each week we will analyze a play from these award-winning playwrights: Marie Clements, Joan McLeod, Carmen Aguirre, and Dorothy Dittrich. We will read excerpts together, and discuss the staging, the themes, and audience response. Students will receive a list of scripts to download, purchase (cost ~$50) and read before class.
