The course will begin with an exploration of the features that are necessary for life in general, and for its evolution. We will then elucidate the properties that characterize plants, and the features that have allowed them to significantly alter the Earth's environment by oxygenating the atmosphere. Finally, we will survey the main types of plants, and study their structure, composition, physiology, reproduction and evolution. JOEL KOSITSKY
