Join us in the newly renovated NIC metal jewellery studio and learn the metal etching process. Add interest to your metal projects in this two-day beginner's class. Learn about adding texture, depth and originality to your handmade jewellery. We will make a variety of samples and there will be two projects introduced. During these two days you will learn the basics including safety, masking techniques and tools as well as how to apply this technique to etch copper and brass and the second day we will do a project in sterling silver. We will also learn basic jewellery making skills as we work through the projects. By the end of class each student will have two new finished pieces of jewellery they will be proud to wear.
