Awards for Regular Full-time International Students
Eligibility
New applicants with following English assessment scores:

Students with the overall IELTS 7.0/TOEFL iBT 94/CAEL 67/PTE 65 - $1,000

Students with the overall Duolingo English Test 120 or higher - $1,000
Application Process
No. This one-time scholarship is applied to the student’s tuition and credited to the student account and does not have cash value and cannot be refunded to students. Students in receipt of this award will be notified upon enrollment.
Eligibility
School District 70, 71 and 72 Grade 12 graduates who have applied to participate in following programs:
- University of Victoria Guaranteed/Dual Admission through Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Engineering Foundation Certificate or University Transfer programs
- Emily Carr University Guaranteed Admission in Fine Arts
- Alberta University of the Arts Pathway program in Fine Arts
- Vancouver Island University Dual Admission or Education Pathway including humanities, social sciences, and sciences through Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or University Transfer programs
Amount:
Up to 4 scholarships for each district for the amount of $2000 per student*.
Application process
One-page letter describing past journeys and future goals, with the submission of the letter sent directly to the Office of Global Engagement at study@nic.bc.ca by June 1. Late applications may be accepted based on availability of funding, provided that the application is received before the start of NIC program.
The award is applied once the full-time student status is confirmed after add/drop date of the first semester. This one-time scholarship is applied to the student’s tuition and credited to the student account and does not have cash value and cannot be refunded to students.

Amount: $1,000 for each student up to 3 students each intake

Scholarships for Exchange Students
NIC is pleased to invite partner schools in ELAP-designated countries to nominate scholarship students. We strongly encourage you to review
the ELAP website carefully prior to nominating students. ELAP is only available to students currently studying at a NIC’s partner institutions in designated countries and hold citizenship in designated countries. NIC must receive completed applications by February 19 of the current calendar year. Late applications will not be accepted.
Please note: Do not apply on the ELAP website. NIC will apply once all your documents are complete and accepted. NIC will notify you directly if you are nominated for the scholarship.

- Caribbean: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos

Study in Canada Scholarship is only available to students currently studying at a NIC’s partner institutions in designated countries and hold citizenship in designated countries. NIC must receive completed applications by February 19 of the calendar year in which students wish to study. Late applications will not be accepted.
