The Library & Learning Commons is a collaborative, inclusive environment providing learning opportunities, study and meeting spaces and access to information resources and services such as research help, peer tutoring, math, writing and student technical support.
Quiet and group study spaces are available for student use at all campuses.
Library Resources and Research Help
Find print and electronic resources and information about study and group spaces, research help, computers, lending services, subject guides and various academic supports. Library staff are available to provide expert advice and help with library research. Help with finding and evaluating resources, along with creating and formatting citations is available in person, by email, telephone and AskAway.
Math Support
Math support is a drop-in service where you and your study group can spend time working on all levels of math problems with the support of NIC math faculty and peer tutors.
Writing Support
Develop your writing skills for academic success. Submit your written work for free feedback from highly trained online WriteAway tutors or make an appointment to meet with a faculty member for one-on-one support.
Peer Tutoring
Learn new approaches to studying and writing with NIC’s free peer tutoring service. Tutors are trained to help you achieve success in all levels of English, math, science, humanities, social science and human services, as well as trades foundation and apprenticeship courses and first year nursing and business courses.

Get support for your technology questions to help you succeed. From setting up your email, to printing, Wi-Fi, mobile apps and more, Student Technical Services is here to help. You can also learn about free software available to NIC students and get support with Brightspace.
