Overview
With the NIC/VIU Dual Admission Agreement, you can study at both North Island College and Vancouver Island University, seamlessly moving between institutions during your first two years to complete your Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science.
As a dual admission student, you'll have access to advisors and support at both schools. BC student loan funding is based on your combined credits, and your transcripts are automatically shared each semester, with transfer credits awarded without needing additional requests.

How to apply
Dual Admission students must meet both NIC and VIU’s general admission requirements. Applicants can apply to either VIU or NIC and must identify that they wish to apply to the NIC-VIU Dual Admission/Co-Admission option. Apply for this program through EducationPlannerBC. After you’ve applied, you’ll receive an email from NIC with your next steps. Be sure to add admissions@nic.bc.ca to your safe sender list.
