NIC is recognizing the importance of apprentices as part of Apprenticeship Recognition Week in BC. The private members statement made in the legislature today acknowledges the importance of developing and maintaining a highly skilled workforce as part of BC’s economic prosperity.

NIC’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing students are hosting Dr. Sheri Price, an award-wining scholar from the Maritimes, for a free, public lecture Thursday, November 9 from 7 to 9 pm.

Prospective students and their families from across the region are invited to meet NIC faculty and staff at the third annual Parent and Student Information Night on Wednesday, November 15.

Registration is now available for NIC’s free Prep Cook certificate program in Campbell River this December.

Megan Lawrence and 149 fellow NIC students in the Comox Valley received nearly $184,000 in NIC scholarships and bursaries this year, thanks to the generous support of the Comox Valley community.
