Assessments and testing
We're here to support students who may need to be evaluated for academic accommodations or admission into a program with specific requirements. For example, you may need a math assessment if your high school grades are not available or if you don’t have certain course prerequisites to start your program.
With an assessment, we can evaluate your academic skills. Depending on the outcome, we may recommend that you receive credit for certain courses – or we may suggest other options, such as tuition-free upgrading.
How to get an assessment
Getting an assessment starts with you choosing NIC. We’re grateful to be part of your journey.
- Apply to the program of your choice.
- After completing your application, wait to hear from NIC admissions. If you require an assessment, they will let you know in a formal letter. You’ll also be invited to make an appointment with an educational advisor.
- Meet with an advisor. They will give you resources to prepare for your appointment with assessment services and answer any questions you might have.
- Complete your assessment! We’ll be in touch afterward to discuss next steps.
