Leadership and governance
We’re committed to delivering the best individualized education and training experience in BC by 2026.
That means high-quality education and skills training and more pathways for learners to achieve their full potential. By working together, we’ll build healthy and thriving communities – one student at a time.
President and CEO
Dr. Lisa Domae became NIC’s sixth president on April 12, 2021 – taking the reins during the unprecedented challenges of a global pandemic and a rapidly shifting post-secondary environment.

Lisa Domae is responsible to NIC’s Board of Governors for the leadership and general management of NIC.
Lisa began her tenure by launching Build 2026 – NIC's current strategic plan – and has focused her sights on expanding student housing, building community partnerships and creating more opportunities for students.
“With students at the centre of our work, we can deliver education and training that creates a better quality of life for students and communities, facilitates lasting reconciliation with Indigenous people and creates a more equitable world.”
– Lisa Domae, NIC President
