Renting NIC spaces

If you are interested in hosting a public or private event or gathering at an NIC campus or centre, then we want to hear from you! Tell us a bit about yourself and your event, including:

• Who you are
• Information on your event and/or organization
• What space you are looking at renting or using
• The date and time of the event  

Accessing equipment

The Library and Learning Commons allows students to borrow laptops, chargers and headphones. 

Students enrolled in art or digital design courses can also book multi-media equipment through the fine art print shop located in Raven Hall on the Comox Valley campus.

Tools for trades students

Located on our Campbell River campus, the Tool Crib works just like a library – but for professional tools. This allows students to access the equipment they need to complete their training without having to buy it themselves.

To use the Tool Crib, you’ll pay a refundable deposit on top of your tuition. At the end of the term, your deposit will be returned in full, provided the equipment is returned in acceptable condition.
