General eligibility

Applications for on-campus housing are open to all students in eligible programs who meet the following criteria as of their move-in date:

  • You're enrolled in a full-time program or taking at least nine academic credits
  • You're at least 17 years old or you've graduated high school

If you're participating in an apprenticeship, practicum, internship, co-op or research project through your NIC program, you're eligible for housing.

Additional consideration

Minors with accelerated academic progression will be considered on a case-by-case basis in cooperation with their legal guardian.

In some cases, a student may be enrolled in less than nine credits for reasons related to human rights. Students taking fewer than nine credits may qualify for housing if they have approved accommodations from the Department of Accessible Learning Services (DALS).

Please note: ElderCollege, Joy of Lifelong Learning, Youth Academy and First Aid are not eligible for student housing.
