Student housing assistants
NIC student housing assistants live on-site in tul’al’txw. They foster a safe, inclusive and welcoming community by:
- Providing peer support, wellness initiatives and mental health resources
- Organizing events and programs to help students integrate into campus life
- Using a health promotion and harm reduction framework when developing events and programming for student housing

NIC provides round-the-clock security and a Safe Walk Service (available anytime, including nights and weekends).
Controlled access
Student housing buildings require key cards issued only to members of the housing community and authorized staff.

Protocols for fires, natural disasters and other threats to support safety in student housing.
