Our official Indigenization plan, Working Together, is the result of months of community engagement with more than 150 participants from Indigenous communities, NIC’s Indigenous Education Council, Elders in Residence and students, staff and faculty.

The plan outlines goals in the following areas:

  • Institutional commitment
  • Governance model
  • Teaching and learning
  • Understanding reciprocity
  • Indigenous employee recruitment
  • Learning environment
  • Relationship building
Elder in residence, Daryle Mills, shares wellness teachings to NIC employees and board members.
