Find an agent
We work with verified recruitment partners (agents) throughout the world to help future international students with their applications. Our agents are trained to answer any questions you might have about NIC.
When you are filling out your NIC application on EducationPlannerBC, be sure to include the agent’s name, agency name and their email address. Be sure to select the option authorizing NIC to release information about your application to the agency you indicated.
Do I need an agent to apply for NIC?
Only students applying from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and the Philippines are required to work with an authorized agent.
If you are already living in Canada and have a valid study permit, you are not required to work with an agent.
Adding an agent after submitting your application
If you’ve already submitted an application, you must follow these steps to allow an agent to access your application on your behalf.
- Download NIC’s Release of Information/Proxy Form
- Complete sections 1, 2 and 4 on the form and sign the document by hand
- Forward a scan of the completed document to iadmissions@nic.bc.ca. Also attach a scan of your current and valid passport showing your signature.
