Your previous work and life experience matters – and it may help you finish your education sooner.

Students who self-declare as mature students can qualify to waive up to two courses per term without meeting prerequisites. Contact our Future Students team today or browse our FAQs to learn more.

If you'll be 23 or older in the calendar year in which you plan to start your studies, you can qualify as a mature student.

You may be able to waive prerequisites in first year courses from the list below that have high school prerequisites.

  • Business
  • Fine art
  • University studies, including social sciences, English and humanities
  • Office administration

We encourage you to check in with an educational advisor as a first step. If you’re eager to get started, download, complete and sign our mature student declaration form.
